Laura “Ann” Ahlstrom Dickson grew up on the nightly lullabies of majestic creatures of the night and wondering if the thing that made the bumps in the night would be her friend. She enjoys writing about the possible unknowns of the mortal world and photographing her inspirations. When a pen does not occupy her hand, Ann can be found reading, surfing the web, or losing track of time playing video games.

Ann is an author of mystery, suspense, paranormal, and fantasy. And sometimes she comes up with some ideas that are better told as games and film instead of prose. To better tell these stories, she has learned game writing and development, and script writing.

Ann has a B. F. A. and an M. F. A in Creative Writing for the Entertainment Industry from Full Sail University and a certificate in Social Media Marketing from Tri County Economic Development District. She has three first place awards from Satsquash Review magazine, records writing tips videos, updates on in the works projects, and is about to vlog a documentary project that doubles as a series of tips on recording genealogy. She’s a contributor at Certainly Her, a newbie teacher, and a self-published author.
